Australians pride themselves on their friendliness and cultural diversity. The population lives in a generally safe, friendly, sophisticated and harmonious society. Although English is the official language in Australia, but there are more than 200 languages are spoken in Australian households. Generally, the Australian accent is easy to understand. While there are some minor differences in accent between city and country areas, the difference is much less than you would find in the UK, USA or Canada.


Australian education providers are either government or non-government (private), and they aim to focus on their individual learning needs of their students. However, international students usually pay higher tuition fees than domestic students because Australian students are not normally to required to pay substantial tuition fees to attend there schools due to Australian government policies. 

Cost of schooling in Australia is very cost effective, especially compared to other English-speaking countries. The estimated amount of funds that international students will need by adding living costs, course fees, schooling costs and travel costs in the following:

  • Living costs for student or guardian: AUD 20,290

  • Living costs for partner or spouse: AUD 7,100

  • Living costs for Child: AUD 3,040

  • Annual Tuition fees will be informed after enrolling the course

  • Overseas Student Health Cover fee: AUD 556 approximately 

  • Accommodation fees: AUD 70 - 400 per week approximately 

Please note that you must calculate the first 12 months of your course fees or include the total cost of your course if it is for a duration of 12 months or less. Deduct any prepaid costs and provide evidence of these payments (this should be on your Confirmation of Enrolment or provide receipts).​

What are the basic criteria for obtaining a student visa?

  • The student intends to study a course that is registered on the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students (CRICOS).

  • The student has a relevant electronic Confirmation-of-Enrolment (CoE) for the course.

  • The student must have the genuine and appropriate financial capacity to study and stay temporarily in Australia.

  • The student must demonstrate that they have adequate health insurance (Overseas Student Health Cover), no debts to the Australian government and are of "good character".

  • If the student is under 18 years of age, you need to have welfare arrangements in place while you are in Australia.

  • The student must satisfy the Department of Immigration and Border Protection that you have a genuine intention to stay in Australia temporarily based on Genuine Temporary Entrant Requirements.
